Day 9 - Confession

This seems to be my last day before handin. So I thought I would be honest about my experience so far. Many people find it easy to keep to themselves and many find it extremely difficult to be out there. I have the exact opposite, i find it easy to talk and difficult to keep my mouth shut.
I found this quote today and think it really personafies what makes me, me.

I want to be someone and feel that i need to be known in order for success to become inevitable.

 

Day 8 - SKY News

Take something away and something replaces it ten fold. when a person becomes deaf, their other senses are heightened. When a person becomes blind, their hearing increases. Today i woke up to the SKY news report about the winner of China's got talent. A boy without any arms played the most beautiful piano piece that left audiences world wide in tears.




This truly personifies the true meaning of this project for me. when you are down and out is when you truly thrive in life

Day 7 - Half way till the end

This day is ended with a simple question for you to ponder on.

Day 6 - Day of days

So today was 10 10 10 and I had  my daily thought about my speaking at 10:10. Many of the worlds charities have used today as a stepping stone to create awareness of the issues. The less i speak, the less i feel that i have a voice in this world. So give a person or charity a stepping stone, the more chances they will feel as though they are part of this beautiful world

Day 5 - What a wierd experience

Day 5 started off very strange. I have a very loud family normally, and on top of my family i also have my extended family from the UK who are also very loud.
The thing is, is that i woke up to silence. Now either no one was home or there was something wrong. There was something wrong, they had decided not to talk to me. Now that made my morning interesting. to avoid the awkwardness i left ASAP.
When i got home there was silence again. Two hours later i gave up and shouted at them all.
Now i know what it is like to be that bum in the corner that no one wants to come in contact with

How perfect is this quote, we keep silent for no reason at all and yet it takes something to get one to talk out loud

Day 4 - What did you say

As in days gone by, I have slowly felt less and less confident about myself. without a voice one seems to forget who you truly are within the world.

I actually have begun to feel sorry for those people that are shy. I wish they would have more to say, as many in this world are unable to speak and truly want to be heard.

I have learnt that by realising that i have to try other things to start a conversation with others. This has been extremely difficult.

Day 3 - Simple lives

How can you contact someone without a voice. A cough seemed to work today, most of the people I needed to speak to seemed to turn around and begin a conversation with me, with a simple cough.

Simplifying ones life seems to be a lot more difficult then I first imagined. The more time I spend without my voice, the more i realise that my identity is in essence.

Day 2 - Holding back

Woke up this morning to the realisation that a simple conversation would be impossible. As my guidelines clearly stated, i may not engage a conversation. I may only continue a conversation that is started by someone else.


My Girlfriend looked at me and decided to keep quiet the entire morning. wow was that a fun morning!


I am struggling with this challenge, but i will move forward and hope for the best.

Day 1 of silence

The voice is a beautiful thing, many would say that our voice is what makes us as human beings who we are. Our physical appearance is one thing, but the sounds we make are what truly defines us. One may argue that the deaf are unable to hear and that their sounds are muffled in this world. They may not hear but they feel sounds like no other human can.

My first day is a huge step towards my self discovery. I have already realized that without my voice I am unable to help to the same extent as i used to and already i am having tremors at the thought of being silenced by myself and even worse, by "society".

 

What i did realise today was "The environment is everything that isn't me. - Albert Einstein" from this i worked out that without elements of me, the environment and society changes in my eyes.
